We are specialists in the reproduction and restoration of period wrought ironwork and designers of new and contemporary styles of forged metalwork all made using traditional blacksmithing techniques and jointing methods. We have made many exiting commissions over the years including architectural wrought iron work, ecclesiastical ironwork, and also performed live forging demonstrations. About us, David Cooper is proud to be a fellow of the worshipful company of blacksmiths of London this grants me the use of the letters f.w.c.b. We hold three awards from the worshipful company, a certificate of competence, the Paul Allen award and more recently the bronze medal.
David Cooper served an apprenticeship in forgework at the national school of blacksmithing in Hereford and started the business in 1995 we have been in our current premises since 1998 which is in the pretty East Yorkshire seaside town of Bridlington.
Although we are blacksmiths located in east yorkshire, our commissions are know located throughout the united Kingdom and we are happy to quote for work without geographical boundarys, we regularly have enquirys from architects, specialist builders and private clients.
